We invite you to join us, as we embark on a journey into the inner sanctuary of our base chakra; the grounding force that connects us to the earth energies and empowers our being.  This is the most instinctual part of self; our inner child, who is programmed for personal safety and security.  We learned very early that survival is dependent on food, shelter, health, our tribe/family, and the primal need for reproduction.  The nature of this chakra is the drive to survive, which also encompasses how we flourish in the material world we live in.

This is a New Year; what is your resolution?  Be proactive and make this your “New Beginning.”  We are already co-creating our life, reality, and universe; it’s time to bring awareness and intention to what life we are choosing to create; here and now.  With Kundalini Dance and Ecstatic Breathwork, let’s nurture, heal, and balance our inner foundations, so we may pass through these initiations (or spiritual lessons) of the base chakra and begin to master the material plane…living in trust to follow our authentic nature in a grounding way.  By aligning our base chakra in integrity we begin to share our unique gifts and passion in a practical way to manifest everything we need to prosper in our physical life.

Remind Me Again: New Beginnings: Base Chakra Alchemy Workshop featuring Kundalini Dance and Ecstatic Breathwork

When: Saturday January 15, 2011

Time: 11:00 am- 6:00 pm, Please arrive 30 min early to get settled, familiarize yourself with the land , and socailize, so we may begin on time.

Where: The Yurt in Bonny Doon, Santa Cruz Mts., CA (directions upon registration)

Investment: $33-$55 sliding scale.  Please support our work and our community by paying at the highest price level you can afford.  When doing this you help allow lower-income participants to attend at price levels they can afford.  No one will be turned away for lack of funds.  Barter and scholarships are available.

What to bring: a lunch, journal, pen/pencil, yoga mat, blanket, an pillow for your comfort.  Please note that we are in the mountains; weather can be fickle.  Please plan ahead; dress in layered clothing and appropriate foot wear is needed.

Getting Ready to Kundalini Dance!

Who is Sacred Wisdoms?

Sacred Wisdoms is a collaboration based on the passions of it’s founders Leah Rose Duke and Yarah Volkman. Through our own processes, we have found Kundalini Dance and Ecstatic Breathwork to be two very valuable tools one can use on the path transformation which we have witnessed within ourselves and in others. We have combined these practices and wish to share these potent Sacred Wisdoms with you.

“The breath activates.  Opening to the Divine Mother begins in the pelvis and Shakti energy runs through me.  Pelvic floor- TIGHT-LOW- especially in the greater trocanter region (hip sockets).  Ooooooooooouuuuhhhhhhhh.

I am opening into my 3rd- Solar Plexus.  The Kali energy comes out- that dark feminine female tigress, the destructor energy.  This feels uncomfortable to me in this moment because it feels like I will be mean or use my power to abuse, like I have done so in lives past.  But, as I soften my 3rd… resistance… I tell myself it is ok to soften my 3rd chakra control and surrender to Kali and let her tear me up.  I felt my eyes burning and the smell of chlorine came out of my pores. This is a safe place to let go. RAWR!!!!

Alot of tightness also in my heart area, numbing in my back and shoulder region- I haven’t quite yet felt there- in my back that is.  I am committed to this process.  I feel that when I let go and keep with it- I will be there! I had a beautiful Heart energy session with Sonia, like lovers from a past life.  I felt a very DEEP connection with her.  We shared a tear.  We both knew.  And that heaviness in the back began to lift.

When I was in Savasana, I noticed a throat pinch that kept me from fully relaxing, or maybe from falling asleep.

I look forward to exploring these in my dance tomorrow.  Really diving in deep again- cleansing- purifying and accepting myself through my shadows and light.”
